Moisture Meter Check Samples
Samples to check the accuracy of rapid moisture meter instruments are available to buy here in our online shop.
These samples are suitable for checking your rapid moisture meters in order for you to comply with Red Tractor requirements.
They are oven tested and will come to you with a "self certification" certificate, where you test the sample and fill in the result on the certificate.
The values of these samples are obtained by the relevant ISO reference methods listed below:-
- Moisture of Cereals - BS EN ISO 712-1: 2024
- Moisture of Oilseeds - BS EN ISO 665: 2020
- Moisture of Pulses - BS ISO 24557: 2024
Samples available are:-
- Wheat
- Barley
- Oats
- Oilseed Rape
- Beans
- Peas
These can be bought in two pack sizes, 180g or 450g,
The 180g size is suitable for moisture meter types of instruments that only require a small amount of sample. e.g. Protimeter / Marconi / Sinar 6060 / Sinar 6070 / Unimeter / Wile 78 etc
The 450g size is for the larger instruments. e.g. Dickey John Range / Wile 200 / Perten AM 500 etc
All results of the samples only relate to the samples tested.
